Use of cookies
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how One Two Many Music (“OTM”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit otmmusic.com (the “Website”).
If you have any questions about this policy or our use of cookies, please contact us at info@otmmusic.com.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your computer, mobile phone or other device. They allow websites to function correctly, remember information and protect their services.
Similar technologies, such as local storage, scripts and tags, may perform comparable functions. References to cookies in this policy include these technologies where applicable.
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser; or
- Persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
Cookies may be set directly by OTM or by a service provider acting on our behalf.
3. How we use cookies
The Website uses strictly necessary cookies to:
- Protect the Website against malicious or automated traffic;
- Operate the Website’s firewall and security systems;
- Authenticate authorised WordPress users;
- Protect login and administrative areas; and
- Remember certain security-related choices made by authorised users.
These cookies are essential for the Website to operate securely. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (“PECR”), consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service or protect its security.
We do not currently use cookies on the Website for advertising, behavioural profiling or cross-site tracking, and we do not intentionally set non-essential analytics cookies.
4. Cookies used on the Website
Cloudflare security cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cf_clearance | Stores confirmation that a visitor has successfully completed a Cloudflare security check. This helps prevent the same security challenge from being displayed repeatedly and allows access to the Website. | Normally 30 minutes, although this may vary depending on the Website’s security configuration. |
| __cf_bm | Helps distinguish legitimate visitors from automated or malicious traffic and supports Cloudflare’s bot protection services. | 30 minutes after the visitor’s last activity. |
These cookies may not be placed during every visit. Their use depends on whether Cloudflare determines that a particular security check is required.
More information is available in the Cloudflare Cookie Policy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Wordfence security cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Who receives it and duration |
|---|---|---|
| wfwaf-authcookie-* | Allows the Wordfence firewall to identify logged-in users, check their permissions and distinguish them from visitors who are not logged in. | Only users authorised to log in to WordPress. It is retained for the duration of the relevant authentication session. |
| wf_loginalerted_* | Enables Wordfence to notify the Website administrator when a user logs in from a new device. | Only logged-in users and only when the relevant login-alert option is enabled. Its duration depends on the Website’s security configuration. |
| wfCBLBypass | Allows an authorised visitor to bypass country blocking after accessing a private URL configured by the Website administrator. | Only visitors who access the specially configured bypass URL. Its duration depends on the applicable security configuration. |
| wfls-remembered-* | Remembers that a user has successfully completed two-factor authentication on a particular device. | Only set when an authorised user selects the option to remember the device. It remains active for up to 30 days. |
These cookies are not normally placed on the devices of general Website visitors. They are used only in connection with login, authentication, firewall or security functions.
More information is available in Wordfence’s privacy and cookie documentation.
5. Yoast SEO
The Website uses the Yoast SEO plugin to manage search-engine metadata, structured data and other technical SEO information.
Yoast SEO does not place cookies on the devices of general Website visitors merely because the plugin is installed. It therefore does not require visitor consent under PECR.
6. Third-party websites
The Website contains links to external services, including:
- Mailchimp, for newsletter subscriptions;
- Instagram;
- Spotify; and
- Apple Music.
These are links to external websites rather than services hosted directly on the Website. When you follow one of these links, you leave the OTM Website. The relevant third party may then place cookies on your device in accordance with its own policies.
OTM does not control cookies placed by external websites after you visit them. You should review the relevant third party’s information before using its services:
7. Managing cookies
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. The method for doing this depends on the browser and device you use.
Because the cookies currently used by the Website are necessary for security and authentication, blocking them may prevent the Website from loading correctly, cause security checks to be repeated or prevent authorised users from logging in.
If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will provide an appropriate consent or objection mechanism before using them, as required by applicable law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the technologies used by the Website or when legal requirements change.
The date shown at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
